In this tutorial, Art will demonstrate how easy it is to align a 3D model to the world coordinate system with the Interactive Alignment feature inside Geomagic Design X. When importing scan data from any 3D scanner into the software, it floats arbitrary in space. For best practices, especially for scan to CAD applications, you should align the scan data to the world coordinate system.
