New Features For Constraints Keeps Everything Accurate

After fitting primitives to your scan, it’s time to constrain them, depending on their known spatial positions. With a selection of parallel, perpendicular, concentric, angular, or coaxial constraints, they’ll snap into place and be ready for export to CAD. Artec Studio now keeps a history of the conditions and relations specified for each primitive. You can save, edit, and refit them anytime–even outside the Construct panel. In addition, it allows you to base new constraints on the ones you imposed in previous sessions.

Improved Segment Brush

Improved Segment Brush

When you’re reverse engineering parts and other objects, quickly selecting all the right surfaces for fitting primitives is now a cinch. The Segment brush works by analyzing the full surface, not just where you clicked. By computing all its characteristics to determine and select its exact shape, there’s no need to select everything by hand. With an update to the Segment brush in AS17 means you can now change the size of the selected region dynamically with the Segmentation sensitivity slider. Simply mark the area you’d like to construct the CAD primitive in, and adjust the degree of expansion area with the slider.

Use primitives to create multiple precise sections and export to CAD. It’s super fast and easy to accomplish.

Mesh Alignment by Scale Algorithm

Mesh Alignment by Scale Algorithm Makes It Easy To Match The Scale Of One Mesh To Another

When you capture an object with photogrammetry, its real dimensions in 3D are unknown without the use of additional tools (targets, a scale bar, or a tape measure). The mesh alignment by scale algorithm allows you to match the arbitrary scale of a model created with photogrammetry to the real scale of a model captured by an Artec scanner, directly in Artec Studio.

transparent mode

Transparent Mode Delivers Clear Visualization For Ray, Improved Scene Rendering For All

You can clearly see and explore the entire model without obstructing your view–look at the back-facing surface if you need it, or glance right through it if you don’t. Particularly useful when using Artec Ray to scan large areas such as room interiors and other expansive facilities with lots of details throughout.

Enhanced Color Reproduction

Enhanced Color Reproduction By Creating Correctly-Textured Models Effortlessly

Any unwanted colors from the background behind the object are automatically suppressed, without having to manually predefine the area of application. Simply adjust the suppression level slider and go. Artec Studio’s refined algorithm ingeniously searches across multiple scans for the correct color to substitute in order to get the perfect color scans.

Automatic Glare Removal Feature

Automatic Glare Removal Feature

Get Rid Of Noticable Glares In Your Scans

When a 3D scanner collects scan data, it most likely uses a light source. Some surfaces can reflect the light of the flash, leaving uneven and unwanted visible glare. The Automatic Glare Removal feature uses advanced PBR algorithms to rid of glare in your 3D scans. Retouching scans is a tedious, time-consuming task. Artec Studio harmonizes the balance of lighting of the final model, saving you time and creating stunning 3D models without manual processing.
