One Scanner. Adapted to Every Task.

Use 3D scanning targets when and where they’re needed—from covering the entire scanning area to going completely target-free. No matter the setup, you get one complete dataset with reliable accuracy and every detail captured.

First Article Inspection

First Article Inspection | Golden Samples

Metrology-Grade Accuracy: Everywhere
Tracking Markers Placement: On the Entire Part

Full target coverage keeps every frame securely anchored, helping Artec Neo achieve a high volumetric accuracy of 0.025 mm + 0.035 mm/m.

Mesh

Reverse Engineering | Validation

Metrology-Grade Accuracy: Toleranced Features
Tracking Marker Placement: On Certain Areas

Place targets around critical functional features (datums, fits, and interfaces) to anchor accuracy exactly where you need it. Artec Neo captures the remaining surfaces target-free, preserving every detail and color.

Inspection

Inspection | Dimensional Control

Metrology-grade Accuracy: Framework Setup
Tracking Marker Placement: Around the Part

Targets stay on the fixture, not the part. Maintain metrology-grade accuracy without error accumulation, while capturing even target-free deep channels and passages for direct CAD comparison.

Assembly

Assembly | Retrofitting | Machine Installation

Metrology-Grade Accuracy: Measure critical features across large object
Tracking Marker Placement: Create a Reference Path with Targets

Save time by connecting key features across several meters with a targeted reference path—without scanning everything in between. Capture flange-to-flange distances, bolt-circle orientation, and mounting-point positions with metrology-grade accuracy.

3D Scanning

Design | Prototyping | 3D Modeling

Accuracy and Resolution: Up to 0.05 mm
Tracking Marker Placement: No Targets At All

Scan complete objects in minutes without targets or surface preparation. Create clean 3D meshes for use to create CAD models, alongside full-color scans that preserve numbers, casting marks, and surface condition.

Verified Accuracy

Each Artec Neo is thoroughly evaluated in Artec’s dedicated metrology laboratory, following ISO/IEC 17025 principles for independent and objective testing.

To validate measurement performance, Neo 3D scanners undergo acceptance testing in accordance with VDI/VDE 2634 Part 3. The process uses automated, robot-controlled scanning paths and internationally traceable reference artifacts.

Artec’s in-house metrology calibration laboratory has received ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation from OLAS, the Luxembourg Office of Accreditation and Surveillance. OLAS is recognized in more than 100 countries and regions, where Artec 3D customers can now rely on certified scanning accuracy.
